Inspired by the life of my grandmother, Chicken Bones is the surreal story of a bitter Italian crone from New Orleans (Rita Katerina) hanging to life by a pure thread of spite as she spends the evening in her assisted living home hunting down a forbidden cigarette. All-the-while, a hurricane brings in faces from her past.
