Director's Statement

Someday They’ll Go Down Together is our attempt to put to screen a more accurate and honest portrayal of Bonnie & Clyde, illustrating the real people behind the legend. We sought not to justify their actions, but to understand the choices they made. Only 23 & 24 when they died, Bonnie & Clyde had hopes and dreams, folks they loved and folks who loved them back, and were forged and shaped by the world into which they were born.

We wish for audiences to see that these were people perhaps not so different from us, whose circumstances are as relatable now as they were almost a century ago. We hope to foster empathy and understanding not only for a couple who were historically over-villainized, but also to spark conversations about how society and social standing can send people down destructive paths, regardless of their intentions.

More than a story about infamous outlaws, ours is a story of devotion and determination to live life on your own terms, no matter where the road takes you.
